I Love Paotsin

 I Love Paotsin
Paotsin, which serves fried dumplings occupies a stall in the newly opened SM Center Las Pinas. I have been a regular customer of Paotsin back in early 2000s. When I was still working in Malate, I used to take my lunch in Harisson Plaza. Inside Rustan’s, there was also a stall of Paotsin.

They serve fried dumplings with rice and spicy sauce. Really , really tastes good. Among the many food stalls there in SM Center Las Pinas, Paotsin serves more customers than the other stalls. My personal favorite is fried sharksfin. It only costs P45, very affordable. It is also one of the reasons why it is being patronized by a lot of customers.

So, if ever you catch Paotsin, go and try it for yourself.

Tuyo at Sinangag

This morning, I woke up late.  My internet browsing time changed.  I used to go online in the afternoon until early evening.  But because there were times that I stayed until 11 PM, my niece suffered her sleeping time.  She could not sleep if I were not with her.  That was when my priority set in.  What was important for me is that she (my niece) gets to sleep earlier than 11 PM.

When I woke up, I found  fried rice on the dining table.  Hmmm, I was feeling very hungry but there seems to be missing.  There was only one thing in my mind that had to go with fried rice (sinangag) and that was fried fish (tuyo)Tuyo and sinangag is my all time favorite breakfast.  When I was younger,  I could eat that all day, from breakfast, lunch and dinner without any complaint.  Waking up with tuyo and sinangag brought me my younger memories. But now, it is much different, black coffee has to go with it.  Hmmm, already feeling hungry.

What do we have for lunch today?

It is 12:07 am, October 13, 2009. A few more hours it will be midday. As my mother wakes up, for sure she would ask, “ano ang uulamin natin?” (What do we have for lunch?)  She always does ask me every single day. I suggested already before but she did not want it for father won’t.  Sometimes, I get annoyed irked  because it seems too early to ask that when in fact I had suggested before, but what can I do, they do not seem to like it.

I would like to ask for your help to make a suggestion of a whole-week meal for us, especially for my parents. They are 82 and 75 years old. I shall gladly appreciate if you could, thanks!!!

Oh, kindly make it low fat and low salt please.
